Many cities struggle to translate climate diagnostics into actionable policies due to technical and data barriers. This session explores the Climate Compass (Bússola Climática), a digital tool that scales climate intelligence across all 5,570 Brazilian municipalities. By integrating greenhouse gas profiles and climate risk data with an AI-supported prioritization system, the tool recommends high-impact actions tailored to local contexts.
Objectives:
Demonstrate how AI democratizes climate planning for cities with limited capacity.
Share co-development lessons from 50 pilot cities, including Rio Branco and Caxias do Sul.
Discuss the "minimum viable data" required to move from diagnostics to implementable Climate Action Plans (CAPs).
