Summary

CDP provides the global platform for cities, states and regions to measure, manage, and disclose their environmental data. Through CDP-ICLEI Track, cities report to multiple initiatives such as ICLEI initiatives, C40 Cities, WWF and the Global Covenant of Mayors. Using data from more than 1000 subnational governments across the globe on risk and vulnerability assessments, adaptation actions, and climate projects seeking finance, in this session CDP will present the CDP Adaptation & Action Explorer; a new open, public-purpose digital platform that brings together Google Earth Engine hazard layers and AI capabilities in an interactive, explainable environment.

This session will gather audience feedback on how the platform can enable a shift from climate risk assessments to risk-informed action and finance implementation. Through a panel discussion and audience participation, the session will explore how cities and other subnational governments can prioritise actions across multiple risks, learn from peer jurisdictions, strengthen early-stage project concept development, and signal priorities, readiness, and opportunities to partners and funders.
