Description:
What if cities could accelerate climate action by making better use of the knowledge they already have? Valuable insights already exist across policies, reports, and best practices, but they are often too fragmented to effectively drive coordinated multilevel action. This session will introduce UN-Habitat’s responsible AI approach for turning complex climate knowledge into actionable intelligence – helping policymakers and implementers identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities to enable more coordinated multilevel governance. Drawing on UN-Habitat’s global reporting and country-level applications, the session will highlight how the technology is already influencing policy and practice – shaping COP30 discussions and influencing advocacy and implementation across seven countries in the Global South. With guest speakers, live demos, and interactive discussion, the session invites participants to explore how the scalable AI technology can accelerate more coordinated, inclusive, and evidence-based urban climate action.
