Knowledge-sharing on a specific topic, method, and/or output
Across the CLimate Adaptation and REsilience (CLARE) portfolio, research projects are working to co-create inclusive resilience strategies in African and Asian cities. This session will share lessons from those projects, highlighting different approaches they take to reduce vulnerabilities and support adaptation of populations affected by rapid urbanization and climate change.
CLARE projects are distinguished by their production of research that leads to tangible impacts on the ground, made possible through their emphasis on equitable co-creation. Bringing together representatives of CLARE projects that address urban issues – from the roots of informality, to intersectional vulnerability in urban areas, to the dynamics of rural-urban transitions in a changing climate – this session will draw out practical lessons on how CLARE projects are co-creating inclusive research to increase the adoption of climate solutions supporting the most vulnerable.
This session aims to offer practical insight into how to undertake equitable co-creation with different stakeholders to understand their needs, add relevance to research, and generate more effective and inclusive climate solutions.
