Note: session by co-sponsor of I4C. Cities sit at the forefront of climate action and SDG delivery, yet national SDG reporting and climate commitments often evolve separately from local resilience planning. While tools like VLRs and VSRs help assess progress and align priorities across government levels, they rarely translate into clear implementation pathways or investment‑ready actions. Locally led resilience planning generates concrete interventions and project pipelines that can help bridge this gap, and experiences from UN‑Habitat’s RISE UP programme demonstrate how such approaches can inform national SDG and NDC processes. This session explores how integrating SDG localization frameworks with urban resilience methodologies can strengthen multilevel governance and accelerate implementation. By linking monitoring, planning, and investment, countries can better align local priorities with national commitments, inform upcoming NDC updates, and improve access to climate finance. Speakers from UN‑Habitat, local and national governments, development and finance partners, and academia will share perspectives on emerging solutions that help move from planning to coordinated delivery.
