Summary

(Please note: this session is submitted by a co-sponsor of I4C26.)

This interactive session explores how cities are turning insights from urban vulnerability assessments into practical pathways for resilience planning. Drawing on experiences from nine countries and diverse regions, Mayors, government representatives, and UN-Habitat teams will share key findings, innovative approaches, and practical examples of how evidence is translated into action. It will also examine how these methodologies help cities identify priority investments and strengthen the foundations for accessing climate finance. Short scene‑setting inputs will introduce cross-cutting trends, after which facilitated discussions will allow participants to compare challenges, highlight transferable solutions, and reflect on opportunities for scaling impact. The session strengthens interregional exchange and supports cities in shaping knowledge, partnerships, and messages that will inform global climate dialogues and advance locally actionable solutions.
