Summary

The Kali Polis Project is an urban semester internship program for American College of Greece (ACG) students. Created by The Demos Center of the American College of Greece, with funding support from GCoM and ACG, this project provides innovative local solutions to global climate challenges through a city-campus collaboration with Greek students co-creating real-life urban resilience projects alongside Athens region municipal staff.


This session will explore how this academic/municipal partnership is accelerating local climate action - showcasing project implementation progress and lessons learned - highlighting what’s next for this innovative internship program, and how it can be transferred to other European and global municipalities.
